Hank George (FALU, CLU, FLMI) is CEO of Hank George, Inc., a firm specializing in underwriting education and consulting.

Hank is an Honours graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, an ex-President of the U.S. National Underwriting Association, and the founder of five underwriting associations in the USA and Canada, as well as US Academy of Life Underwriting seminar programme. He has conducted 46 seminars for the US Society of Actuaries and currently chairs three life underwriting study groups as well as LOMA's Health Underwriting Study Group.

Hank is the founder of On The Risk magazine and the International Underwriting Congress. He is currently OTR's only editorialist and Chairman Emeritus of the IUC. He is also an essayist for The National Underwriter and Best's Review. He has published over 300 articles and papers on underwriting as well as coauthoring two books. Hank has addressed 200 industry associations, including the ALUCA conference at Noosa Heads and lecture series for underwriters in Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington and Auckland, and for agents across Australia and in New Zealand.

Hank resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, directing his team of 5 personnel. He also an office in Halifax, UK. He is currently writing a book for insurance agents and brokers on underwriting. His hobbies are seeing films, reading and political blogging. He is also a fanatical fan of the Green Bay Packers American football team and thus known as a "cheesehead" on this basis.

Hank began his underwriting career with Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee. After two years, he was promoted to the medical staff as "medical officer without portfolio" and spent his time training, updating the medical manual, lecturing to the sales force and handling case referrals from underwriters. Prior to leaving corporate life, Hank had been Senior VP of ExamOne for 14 years.
