Medical Examination by a General Practitioner
GeneralThe Medical Examination:
- is performed by a General Practitioner (GP).
- generally takes 30-60minutes to complete
- may be conducted in a Medical Clinic, or at the applicant's home or workplace depending on location and availability of qualified Pathrec personnel.
The Medical Examination has 2 parts:
- medical questionnaire (your medical history and that of your immediate family)
- physical examination.
- only the physical examination is required
- the TeleCheck interview is made available to the Pathrec doctor to inform and aid preparation for the examination.
- height
- weight
- blood pressure
- chest and abdomen
A urine sample will also be required at the time of the examination. Applicants will need to drink at least two glasses of water prior to their appointment, to ensure they are well hydrated. Urine is tested for Blood, Sugar and Protein.
