Management Team

Olga Tomic - Founder and CEO
Olga was formerly a Registered Nurse with extensive hospital and clinical experience. Originally training at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Olga has worked in public and private hospitals including Prince Henry's, Williamstown and St Andrews (now Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute), in pathology practices and in a major sports medicine clinic managing the health of 2 football (AFL) teams and several Olympic athletes.

Olga founded Pathrec in 1994 after recognising the need for professional pathology collection services and, later, its vital role in insurance underwriting. Through her vision and enthusiasm, she has built Pathrec, by forming enduring relationships with 3500 companies across Australia and with 2500 medical and paramedical staff that form the Pathrec network. Olga continues to be company's driving force.

Rita Andrews - General Manager Operations
Rita has over 25 experience in the administration and management of medical/paramedical businesses, including private general practice. She has assisted many practices through all phases of growth from startup to accreditation to expansion, including the challenges of practice renovation.

Rita is responsible for the management of Pathrec's business functions, from operations and finance to selection and management of all Pathrec staff and 2,500 contractors around Australia. Rita joined Pathrec 5 years ago and continues to play a vital role in assuring and developing Pathrec's quality services.

Operational team

Pathrec's operational team consists of:

• 2 registered nurses who conduct consultation and counseling services
• 3 medical liaison officers who allocate and co-ordinate work between states and handle all paperwork, tests, liaison with applicants, financial advisors and insurers
• 6 administration staff who handle accounts, data entry and general office activities.
